Copy and Paste GarageBand Tracks to another project - For GarageBand iPad -

Not directly - if you want to use a track from a project in another project, the best you could do would be to duplicate the project and use the copy to start the new project from.

Or rather complicated with a detour to your mac:

Share the track as song to iTunes on your Mac; then sync the song with iTunes to your iPad and use it as a loop in the new project.

perhaps i'm missing something, but:

if you double tap a region you're given the option to copy it. you can then go to another project, create the same type of track, double tap within it, and you're given the option to paste the region into it.

Please forgive me for probably not using this system correctly but I'm new to these posts.

My husband has over 200 analogue audio cassette tapes and we want them converted to mp3. So, to learn I got one cassette tape and using a cable from the imac to the cassette player I recorded each side of the tape using GarageBand '11 on my iMac, and saved each side [ track ] separately. If each saved side, filed under two differenct names is a ""PROJECT"" then this relates to the initial post. All I did was : Select All, Copy from one project , opened the other and pasted it at the end. It did not work the first time, [don't know why] but tried again, and hey VOILA. Now all I need to do is learn how to put them on a usb stick. Thanks for this opportunity.
