How can i stop Facebook from syncing Birthdays with my iPhone calendar?

How can i stop Facebook from syncing Birthdays with my iPhone calendar? For some reason they don't sync with iCal on my mac but they are clogging up my phones calendar. And how may i delete the ones already sync'd in one foul swoop?
