HUI

More with STP. I still have an old Mackie HUI, I'd like to put to use. Yes I know its old, but its better to use a mixing surface than to play with a mouse to move faders, besides its all I've got. I've got an M-Audio midi to USB converter to talk to the HUI. Preferences find the HUI and look like they recognize it. There is a nice little graphic. But I can;t see any indication it goes beyond that. There doesn't seem to be a lot of documentation or users out there. Am I just wasting my time?
