Temp block texts from individual contact

There is no such feature in the iOS or iPhones. This is either a feature of your carrier, and you need to contact them, or your phone is jailbroken and no support can be given in this forum.

There has never been a "silence contact" feature in any version of the iOS in general distibution. If any iPhone has it, it's unique to a particular location/carrier or the phone is jailbroken. There is no reference to it in the User Guide:

The only way to silence a text or notification is by using the Do Not Disturb feature, which does not work on idividual contacts, only in advance, and for the duration of the DND setting. It only works when the phone is locked.

Your screenshot is irrelevant just like the bogus forum you linked. There are literally thousands of posts here wanting to know how to block messages, and no one has an answer within the iOS. NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS FEATURE IN AN UN-JAILBROKEN PHONE. The only other possibility is that your phone is bogus - a knock-off (there are many of those around).

Where did you get this phone and where are you located?

If this were a feature of the iOS, it would be mentioned in the User Guide. You will not find it there!

There is no feature to block alerts during a phone call. If you get another CALL, not a text, during a call, you get the option of rejecting that call, but no option to block future calls for any duration.

Whatever you saw, you either misinterpreted the message, your phone is hacked, or your phone is bogus.

hi, there is no such feature. You would have to contact your carrier and they can do it from their end; I believe you would have to block both text and calls for the contact you are referring to, unless your carrier can do just text messages.
