iPad 6.1.2 update no airplay icon

I have just updated my iPad software and now there is no airplay icon, I have read some of the other discussion regarding this and the solution involves switching off router etc.

I use my iPad at work and airplay to deliver lectures, it is impossible for me to switch off the router and resetting my Apple TV will be a job for the IT department and not a good use of their time.

Is there a way to sort this out and can I also state that we should not have to keep mucking around like this, if you intend to update PLEASE make sure it is tested before sending it out Apple, I do not have time for this!

So do I.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is Apple aware of this problem, and maybe comming with a new update soon to fix this bug?

Message was edited by: Fjosse I solved the problem myself by doing a hard reset on my iPad. (pressing the power button and home button at the same time, and holding it untill it turns off and keep holding untill the apple icon appears) After a short while the airplay icon came back.

I managed to get mine working on the network at work, after speaking to the IT department I found out one of them had been playing with the proxy settings and blocked the communication between Apple devices and the network.

On my home Apple TV I re booted the wifi router and it worked fine, I do wish IT people would stop screwing about and test before throwing updates out and wait for us to find the bugs.

Evening guys

I used to have this problem connecting to my AirPlay speakers with my iPhone. My iPad mini has now had the same problem as you connecting to my Apple TV. I used an old fix to get my iPad mini using Airplay again:

1. Go to the settings menu on your iPad;

2. Go to the General Settings and choose International.

3. Change the language on your iPad (I chose English British).

4. Your iPad should change the language and you should now find AirPlay available again.

You can then change your language back to what it was before and the AirPlay icon will still be available.

Hope this helps!

Good luck!

Nothing has helped me with this problem either. I have no access to AirPlay on any of my iOS devices and I can not use the Remote App either. My Apple TV is updated and has been rebooted, and AirPlay and home sharing are both turned on with correct settings.

Also on my iPhone 4S I can no longer connect to ANY wireless networks after the 6.1.2 update.

I hope that apple can get this straightened out nod I agree that there should likely be more testing before releasing these updates.
