Q: Brother MFC9320CW is newer and wireless why doesn't it work with iPad 3??

Trying to use airplay with my Brother printer MFC 9320CW, it is wireless but iPad doesn't recognize it. It's newer than the 8 series listed on apple support. Do I need to update the printer's firmware??

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 6.0.1

Unfortunately that printer does not support Airprint.
