I cant restore my iphone 3gs ...error 9.. It wont turn on but the apple logo will appear when in restore mode and hooked into the computer. What should I do?

I cant restore my iphone 3gs. Turned off suddenly and wont turn back on. Tried to restore it...quite a few times. The apple logo will come on in restore mode..but it wont fully restore. The last error I recieved was error 9. What to do?

I have read the articles under support and am still having problems. It actually sometimes gives error 6 sometimes 9.

The other possible cause of this error is a jailbroken phone, or using a computer that was used to jailbreak a phone.

It isnt a jailbroken phone. We have has it for a few years. We also never had a jail broke phone either.
