Need Help - Unable to share edited video
Hello,
I tried to share my edited video and all I get is a quick preparing clips then nothing else going. Is it because it is a trial version and can not be
shared? Thanks in advance for your help?

You can share using the trial version.
First either select the project in the project library, or if your project is open, hit command 2 to activate the TL window, Click the Share icon and choose your "destination".
Good luck.

Hi Russ,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I did that and it went to "Preparing Media for Share" a few second later, nothing else is happening. It's not like the Imovie where it tells you how long it will take to finalized it.
Will you get some kind of warning or any change to the screen that will let me know how long it will take and where to find the final product, I share it to apple product as I wish to download to my Iphone.
Appreciated,
Pretty
Sharing is a background task. Click the dial in the toolbar for the background task window or press Cmd-9.
So you've presumably selected one of the Apple Devices presets. An export window should appear that includes a thumbnail and summary info. If you click on the Settings tab, it will give you a choice of where to save it. I believe the default location is the iTunes library.
I don't believe I've seen the "preparing media" message before. What kind of clips do you have in your project?
Russ
Hi Russ,
I check the background, all indicators are idle, except the sharing is 8% as of now. Hopefully, it will work because I wanted buy this program, really.
I use Sony NEX 7 clips converted automatically into quicktime inside my Iphoto. I imported them for editing and now it seems to lag quite a bit. Not sure what else is wrong. I'll keep you posted if the share process can come to its completion.
Thank you,
Pretty
Generally not a good idea to take video into iPhoto and to import it into FCP from there. Did the media get copied into the event folder? You might want to open one of the clips in the QT player and report exactly what it says in the movie inspector window to see what the media is.
What computer is this exactly? How much media are you dealing with? How are you exporting?
So FCP may be taking its own good time exporting, but it sounds like you'll eventually get your output file completed.
Russ
