Why is battery being drained so fast

After the last 2 updates my iPhone 4s and iPads battery is drained very fast. Is there a fix for this? Can I go back to the older version?

Since I've updated my iOS to 6 above I have been having problem with battery life.

I've done the ff:

Deleted FB

Turned off all the privacy settings

Turned off Siri

Turned off Notifications.

Turned off iClould but not the find my iPhone ;-)

Turned off Locations services

and still having a bad battery performance.

I phoned the apple support, apparently my support is limited due to warrantee. My Iphone is only 14 months old lol. I was advice to get the iOS 6.1.3 which was released today. It fixes the bugg. It's always the bugg huh! If the problem remains, apple needs to replace my battery as mentioned for $80 dollars and if the problem is still there, apple will change my 4s to a new 4s for $278. What a great service for a great product lol. I have been using iphone since birth of iPhone.

My question is? iPhone is a smart phone. What's the point of having all these fancy features if it drains the battery so bad? We all know that the battery issue has been for a while with iPhones.

For sure, my next phone wouldn't be an iPhone unless they beat the battery life of a Samsung.
