MacBook Air Start up disc problem
Under preferences, I set "no access" against the check box "Everyone". Now I cannot boot my macbook up. I just get a grey screen when I turn it on.
All suggestions welcome!
Thanks

When starting up, hold down option to enter recovery mode. Then in recovey, click disk utility. Click repair disk permissions and then shut down when finished. When you turn it on again, all should be well.

Restart with the Command and S keys held down and run the following:

chmod 1755 /
exit

I tried this, but still get the gret screen problem. Thanks - any other ideas welcomed.
This time, start up holding down option (begin holding before even clicking power), but instead of entering recovery, you should see a list of drives. Click on your HD.
