How come we have to pay?

Digital content is the same as real content in the sense thay you pay money, and in exchange you get goods or a service. The people who produce these goods need to make money to run their business, so they sell their goods to you to make that money.

I know it ***** but it's a fact of life! If you want to keep it legal, that's what you got to do! 😢 Apple and the artists have to make money just like if you bought the song, movie, game etc from the store.

No one in their right mind would spend their time and money creating and producing music, movies, TV shows etc. if there was no money in it. Well, no one except hobbiests. Either you pay for it directly or the product is full of ads that pay for it indirectly (like many apps and like commercial TV).

Maybe you can petition our government for iTunes subsidies and everyone else can pay more taxes so you can get it for free.
