just bought a 3rd generation iPad running iOs 6.1.2. i purchased the vga adapter so i could continue to run ppt for my class without lugging around a laptop. however, i cannot get the adapter to work. i've tried many suggestions as far as unplugging/replugging it in and refreshing the source input. How are you viewing the PPT? The dock video output is not a generic feature in iOS. Rather, individual applications must support it, and many don't. For example, the video app does, but (I've learned), the Xfinity app doesn't.
Test it with the video app to see if it works at all, then start investigating PPT viewers to find one that will work.
I'm using keynote. My understanding is that I should be able to see even my home screen, but the projector is saying there's no input at all
