Meter: how can i change meter from 3/2 to 3/4 without rewriting everything

Hello

I am using Logic to arrange songs for large orchestras. I am now arranging a song which was originally written in 3/2 but I defenitely wanna change it to 3/4. It is not only a matter of time signature but I wanna go from 3 half notes to 3 quarter notes in 1 bar, and therefore change the tempo to half the speed.

Everybody will prefer reading charts in 3/4 with 16th notes rather than 3/2 with 8th notes.

Is there anyway I can do this without going manually from every notes to their half, changing the tempo to its half and take every note (in either keboard or part window) and rewrite everything ?

😕

I hope you get what I mean.

Thanx a lot

Hi

This can be relatively straightforward:

A bar of 3/2 will be twice as long as a bar of 3/4 (at the same tempo). Convert the Time Sig to 3/4, then "timestretch" all the MIDI regions using the Option tool to make them 1/2 as long.
