after the up date, the usb port will not recognize the ipad. My Ipad is now blank and will not turn on. I have updated Itunes, and even reinstalled it. This has not helped either. My phnoe works fin, it is just the ipad.

Press and held the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds?
You should be able to get to the device home screen or at least the screen with the USB icon on it...
