Is it possible to transmit audio to an iPad?
I would like to record my lectures on my iPad wirelessly. Is this even possible?

Not sure what you mean. Can you be more specific
I would like to use a lapel mic connected to a Bluetooth transmitter and record it on my microphone.
A number of these are bluetooth and include iPad-compatible microphones.

But would it be possible to record through Bluetooth? I think I may just buy a portable recorder so that way my iPad isn't doing too much at once. But is it possible though?
This is not what I'm looking for.
If you're looking to record music, you can use a number of third party hardware solutions, such as these:

The iPad is far more powerful than any handheld recording solutions but may need a third-party mic to be up to snuff.
Here's a whole website dedicate to recording audio using an iPad.

I hope this helps.
That still isn't really what I'm looking for but thanks for trying to help me. I am wanting to use a lapel, clip on, microphone connected to a bluetooth transmitter and record it on my iPad via bluetooth somehow. Can the iPad record via bluetooth?
