Sorry, this should be a response to Fishmanbp;
From a fellow Canadian. Yes the warranty is valid in Canada, indeed anywhere in the world.
At Canada Customs you will have to pay HST on the purchase, unless you can persuade Customs that the cost was less than the permitted exemption. If you do pay HST, the cost will be the same as buying it here, within the daily fluctuations of the exchange rate.
To OGELTHORPE:
There is more to Canada than black bears. For example oil extraction from tar sands. (Image courtesy of Canadian Geographic.)
Ogelthorpe is right, warranty is valid, but your minor exchange rate (based on today's rate right now) savings will quite possibly be eaten up by an import duty....and you'll still have to pay GST too. Better to just buy one in Canada if you're currently here, or wait until you get here if you can.
Eustace Mendis, greetings; Breathtaking! More breathtaking than the Canadian Rockies or Lake Louise! Breathtaking! Cough. Breathtaking. Cough, cough. Who said that Canadians can't do it as well as Americans?
Ciao.
Yes it will but Canadian customs will still want money from you, I suspect.
Ciao.
TThanks. The guy at Best Buy didn't think so. That is why I decided to ask people who know.
Note, bear damage is not covered under the Apple warranty.
Ciao.
stedman1, greetings; I have no problem with bears, so long as they are on TV.
Ciao.
RWM_Gibsons, greetings: You couldn't give me a 100,000 loonies to go out doors with them around. Nice picture.
Ciao.
