Q: Secure Link to itunes store failed issue

I cannot access the itunes store or even authorize my computer. I have been working on this for months. Done everything that Apple support emailed me and I am ready to go crazy. My diagnostic shows secure link to itunes store failed. Can anyone help?

Is iTunes endlessly saying "Accessing iTunes Store"? Or is something a bit different going on?

endlessly saying "accessing itunes store" when I connect my ipod it synchs it, but I cannot authorize the computer or access the store...in both cases just keeps saying accessing the store, but never does....UUGGHH

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

It shows bonjour, and microsoft windows and a bunch of listings of Layered Providers with no publisher.

Okay. If we can't identify the source of the LSPs, we can take a more brutal approach and just clear the Winsock key(s) altogether.
