using snmetadump

my command in terminal:

/Library/Filesystems/Xsan/bin/snmetadump -d -f /metadumpfile XsanVolume

Open for write
Starting Metadata dump...
Recording ICB information...
Recording SuperBlock information...
Recording StripeGroup information...
Recording Journal information...
Recording Free Inode information...
Recording Inode information...
Segmentation fault

Now I have this file:

ls -al /metadatafile
-r-------- 1 root admin 4194304 May 17 14:59 /metadatafile

Segmentation fault? I don't think this was successfull...
I am doing something wrong!?
