ios 6.1.2 wifi issues

I am using iphone 4s for about 14 months now. i have never faced wifi issues before updating to ios 6.1.2. But now i am not staying connected to wifi for long time. I dont know whether i m alone in this world to face such an issue. Please help fix this issue to the earliest.

It's very disappointing to know that apple is ignoring such issues from its customers & even rolling back to back new software versions without even checking it to the fullest. And on top of that the apple customer care people are saying its a hardware problem. I think they are ignoring the fact of software issues with ios 6.1.2. especially with WIFI.

Please reply if anybody face such issues.and possible solution for it.

Absolutley having the same problem too. We have an iPhone 4 on 6.1.2 and an iPad 4 on 6.1.2 and both have had bad Wifi reception, constant dropouts since applying the updates.

I'd be surprised if it was hardware given two devices having the same issue in the same house. Never happened before. Our Galaxy S2 is fine on WIFI here and we have a fairly wireless router too.

Please look into a fix Apple ASAP.

Hello,

I have an iPhone 4S and never had a problem with it, but since I uploaded iOS 6.1.2 I've encountered the same problem... I've tried the wifi at home, at school and even at a friend's house with the same results: can't stay too long on the internet because the wifi appears then disappears for a very long time (so the problem isn't the wifi, but the phone itself or iOS 6.1.2)....

I wanted to bring it to an Apple store, but guess I'll wait for iOS 6.1.3.......

iphone 5 and ipad 3, if I just leave them alone, wifi is fine, well, for as long as I can be bothered to check and not use them

but upon using them, wifi drops, only on the device being used, seems to be worse when streaming video, say youtube for example, don't know about games as I don't play games on them, overworking the unit.... what... when surfing the net, checking emails.... yeah right....

never had this problem until I updated, wish I hadn't, I usually wait and see what others say first.....

I've been having the same wifi dropouts on ios 6.1.2. I never have had this issue before, and it is very frustrating. It makes me wish I had never upgraded. I am not having this issue with my other wifi devices (PCs, Macs, Android phones, Roku, Wii, Apple TV), so I know it is not a router issue. Is Apple working on a fix?

One hard lesson that I learned is that I will never rush into any future ios updates again. I have tried all of the fixes that I could find online to no avail :-(

Oh, excuse me. I was just prompted again to rejoin my dropped wifi connection.

I can NOT belive they broke the wifi. AGAIN. Why are they doing this?

Of ALL the things they could have overlooked surely internet access would be at the top of the list of things that should not completely FAIL. This is worse than Maps. If this continues, I can't program for the iPhone anymore. This is really...

YES I AM HAVING THIS ISSUE TOO. APPLE, WHEN DO YOU THINK YOU CAN ENABLE INTERNET ACCESS FOR THE IPHONE?

Went to the Apple Store here in Montreal today, explained my wifi problems (and that my phone liked to close just like that, randomly and that I missed a few calls because of it and had to hold the 'home' and the 'start' buttons at the same time to restart the phone...). The employee said it wasn't normal and gave me a new phone! The problem is solved, I'm using my wifi since a few hours and everything looks perfect! Problem solved. Really happy customer!

My ipad 4 had no issues with wifi until updated ios, first 6.1.0 - updated to 6.1.2 last hoping this was the needed fix - but NO! I get wifi for 10 minutes exactly, whether using safari, facetime, or game center, then loses connection - says, "trying to reconnect...." but never does - connection lost. Without wifi this device is totally useless and makes it an overpriced photo browser. Dealing with iphone 4s antenna signal issue too - have to constantly toggle on airplane mode and then turn off to get it to search for new signal to get 3 bars, doesn't always ring thru missing important messages/calls, texting is iffy, calls iffy.

Apple: I was going to buy your $3K+ mac - but not now. I don't trust Apple anymore, it turns out garbage and beta updates. I'll stick with a PC. Little wonder the stock is dropping. Will probably switch phones and tablets too and sell my phone and ipad. I've really had it. Get it together Apple and address your customer's serious issues that renders your over priced products useless.
