My home wifi connection suddenly got cutoff, then my iPod can't connect to it anymore

My home wifi connection suddenly got cutoff, then my iPod can't connect to it anymore whereas all other devices (Macbook, Blackberry, etc) has no problem connecting. After putting the password, the password is accepted but it keeps searching forever and refuse to connect! 😟

Does the iPod connect to other networks?

Try the following that you have not yet done to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Yes, I just tried the wifi in my college with my iPod and it worked fine there. So only in my house after the sudden wifi cutoff last night... 😟

I've done all the recommendations posted in this thread and it's still not working at home. After entering the password successfully, it just keeps searching and searching and failed to get the "thick" sign and connect to the wifi...

It connects to my school's Wifi, but not my house's one.

All other divices (Blackberry, Macbook, iPad) can connect to the house wifi just fine. Only my iPod.

and my iPod did connect to the house wifi just fine too before the wifi suddenly got disconnected a few days ago. The house wifi asked us to enter the username and password again which never happened before. So basically the house wifi was restarted fromm scratch. But when it works again, all other divices can connect to it except for my ipod (the password can be entered successfully but it keeps searching and searching and refused to get the thick sign)

I restored the network setting of my ipod, forget the connection, switched off and on the home router and none is working 😟
