my ipod touch wont turn on

I had left it sat in a docking station for a week or so. I went to use the iPod again and it wouldnt turn on and it wouldnt charge either. I tried to charge it a few times in the docking station but it didnt respond (I have never had a problem with this docking station)

I then plugged it in to my iTunes and started the recovery process (it said it had detected the iPod was in recovery mode) this then didnt work because of an error 1600 I think it was.

I updated my iTunes before plugging my iPod into the system so not sure if this will have caused a problem

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
