But I want to use my own guitar pedal rather than those pre-sets.
Can anyone teach me how to set ><?

you would use it the same way you would with an amp: plug your guitar into it, and then the pedal into your Mac/interface
Yes i m doing the same way, but no matter how I change my effect, there is also a clean sound which is selected by the Pre-set.... ><

if you create a New Basic Track there will be no effect presets used
Yes thats what I mean.
Im recording into a new basic track with no effect,
When I am recording I could hear my effect, but when I play it back it turns into clean sound again.
you're gonig to have to describe your setup, and what exactly you're doing.
if you're recording through the pedal, GB can't remove its affect on the sound
I have two interfaces, one is Jam Vox, one is Line6,.
these two interfaces have their own preset effects,
even if I use that, the clean sound will be heard eventually,,,
