Updating Purchased Apps/Games

I have a 4 month old 3rd Generation iPad which I purchased second hand.

It already had a number of Apps/Games installed which had been purchased by the original owner of the iPad.

When updates become available for the Apps/Games I am unable to install them because I do not have the Apple I.D. and Password of the original owner of the iPad.

Is it possible to install the updates without the I.D. and Password?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.2, 4 months old 3rd Generation iPad

You can't update apps that aren't yours, you should delete them from the device.
