Q: Audio Units Fail Validation
I have an older Macbook Pro that I recently did a fresh insatllation on. I am at OS 10.8.2. I did not install any audio apps including GarageBand, just did the base OS install. All sotware is up to date. I primarily use this computer for stuff other than audio. For that I have a Mac Pro. I have decided to install a 2 track editor on this machine. What I have found out is that I have no audio units. I look in the folder ~/Library/Caches for com.apple.audiounits.cache. It is not there. So I downloaded another audio app and at first launch I get AU validation failed for every AU plug-in. Any idea as what might be going on?

I have nothing in that folder as the AUs I am speaking of are the built-in AUs. They are built in to the OS in 10.8. However, I have sloved my issue and I will admit it was user error. It was the way the AUs were applied to the audio in the app I was testing. This app was the only audio app I had on this computer. So it was user error.
