Feb 26, 2013 8:52 AM in response to DaniPalby Winston Churchill,I meant to look what was already taking up the space on your iCloud storage, not what is included in the back up.

Feb 26, 2013 9:33 AM in response to Winston Churchillby DaniPal,Under Manage Storage my iphone is showing with 4GB and my iPad with 935MB. When i click on my iphone, it says that i need an additional 4.3GB of storage. To continue backing up this iphone do one of the following:
- change your backup options - i did this
- delete some data - i did this
- buy more storage - i do not want to do this
How do i see what is taking up space on my iCloud storage?

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly, but it doesn't seem as though you can have deleted all that much data, with just the two things you mention you are still using 4.95 GB of your 5 GB allowance.
Does it say you need an additional 4.3 GB or does it say your next back up will be 4.3 GB

Feb 26, 2013 11:20 AM in response to Winston Churchillby DaniPal,i kind of think that is the problem, I don't think the phone is recognizing everything i have deleted. Since i first got this message, I deleted over 300 photos and a few videos, maybe 3. (But i only had about 7 videos to begin with.) i turned off my data and downloads back up, as well as a large majority of my apps. Before deleting those photos, i believe my camara was taking up about 3.9GB. Now since deleting it is down to 2.9GB, but the phone is still showing 4GB.
The message on the Manage Storage screen reads:
Last Backup Failed
An additional 4.3 GB of storage is required. To continue backing up this iPhone do one of the following.
- change your backup options
- delete some data
- buy more storage
Then when i click on my iphone it says:
Latest Backup - 1/14/13
Backup Size - 4.0 GB
Backup Options
Choos the data you want to back up. An additional 4.3 GB is required to back up this iPhone.
Next Backup Size - 4.3 GB <!|

Feb 26, 2013 11:32 AM in response to DaniPalby Winston Churchill,4.0 is the size of the back up already in iCloud, 4.3 is the size it will be when you have backed up this time, obviously there isn't room for that extra 0.3.
2.9 is the size of the items you have opted to back up, there are other items that are backed up that you don't have options for, together these make up 4.3.
You need to delete something from iCloud to make room for that 0.3 (your other back up) or turn some items to back up off and reduce your next back up size to 4.0
