Macbook power button not working ... alternatives?

I have a Macbook (2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) that was converted into an Axiotron Modbook. The problem I'm running into is that the power button is starting to fail. It DOES turn on (it doesn't appear to be some more serious logic board, etc., problem), but I have to crush the power button and hope that it connects.

So, clearly it's on the way out ... and as Axiotron went defunct (I know they've reorganized as Modbook now, but they aren't dealing with 1st-gen Modbooks now), I'm starting to worry about the day when the Macbook no longer powers up at all. Are there any alternatives to using an onboard power button with this generation of Macbook? Like some outboard USB device with a power button (on a keyboard, numeric keypad, etc.)?

Thanks.
