I've done this before, just dragged the file into a new project, but today it won't work, and GB just hangs until I force quit, no error message. I can, however, drag a .wav file in no problem. Any suggestions?

Maybe something's wrong with this file. Can you play it in iTunes? Then you could use iTunes to turn it into an AIFF file, this should work in any case!
