How can you do this in windows 8?

The suggested fix for unknown error occured (-42110) is only described for Vista/Wndows 7. Can someone please explain how to find the SC folder in Windows 8 please ?

Other OS, Windows 8

🙂 It's in the same place in the folder hierarchy on Windows 8 as in Windows 7/Vista, but to show the hidden files and get there is a little different.

I don't have Windows 8, but asked someone who had it to check for us. Credit to Skydiver119 for the following instructions:

To access what serves as start, you hover in the lower left corner, which brings up the small pop up to access the start page. Then click on Computer, then go to the control panel, then to the folder options.

Make those changes, then, to get to the folder to delete the SC data, you click on the file explorer icon and click your way through the folder hierarchy.

You can also hover on the upper or lower right side to bring up that sidebar menu. Click on the magnifying glass icon which is the search, type in control which will bring up the control panel and then can alter the folder visibility part of the instructions from there.

When you need to navigate your way to the file explorer you can return to the sidebar menu and magnifying glass icon and type in 'file' and you should see the file explorer icon. You can then click through that to find the iTunes folder

Hi eveyone,

thanks for the Windows8 explanation but short information for you...

I just see

C/Programm

C/Promme (x86)

There is nothing with /program data and below the mentioned folder above is nothing with "/apple computer".

Also if I go straight to /itues and use the search function there is NO SC folder.

Could it be that it's suddently called differently or ....???

Anybody has an update on this subject?

Cheers
