What can I do with an iPhone 3G that has a ripped digitiser cable?
I would like an iPhone but I don't know what to do.

You find a competent 3rd party repair shop, or figure out how to fix it yourself. Apple won't touch it.
Sounds like you have opened up your iPhone
.
correct ??
If so you are on your own Apple will not assist you
and you are NOT eligible for an out of warranty replacement
as in your other post
I haven't opened my iphone, I dropped it and the glass panel fell off the front and slightly tore the cable. And now the phone cannot sense you finger in the bottom half of the screen.
Sell it for parts on eBay. The logic board still has value. I wouldn't recommend fixing an iPhone 3G...discontinued by Apple almost three years ago & unable to run most apps in the app store.
I know, apple want £80 to fix or £109 for a refurbished handset, but I really don't think the phone is worth that much anyway.
Look on eBay, you'd be surprised...my middle son just sold an iPhone 3G, with shattered screen, for US $60.
Ok, thank you for your help
