SMC 1.7 Update MB Late 2011 15" fails?

Hi there,

when i try to install the new 1.7 SMC update throught the App Store for my "Late 2011 15" MB Pro" it finishes without any errors.

As soon as i've restarted my MB the update will show up again. I've looked up the version number and it should read "1.69f4" but it's still

version "1.69f3" (which would be correct for SMC version 1.5 as stated here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1237?viewlocale=en_EN).

Does anybody have the same problem? I've already tried to install it manually and also tried the SMC/PRAM/NVRAM reset.

The update isn't being installed because of some reason. Was your computer connected to a power source? When you install a SMC update, you should (or must) connect it, so I recommend you to download the SMC update from the Apple website again, connect the Mac to a power source, run the installer again and restart your Mac when the installer asks you. The power supply was connected. I already ran the update a few times regardless of whether from the AppStore or manually it will show up again. Considering this chart http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1237 my Late 2011 MB would be up to date using version "1.69f3" which is the one i've installed. Also tried disk repair and reinstallation of the 10.8.2 combo update.
