Settings for decent print quality from Aperture

I have the latest 3.4.3 version of Aperture. When I try and print photos to my Brother LC67, whatever colour profile I set (any of the Brother options or printer-managed) they pprint at very low quality (washed out, vertical lines, fast printing). If I open the picture in preview and print it's perfect. Any advice on how to resolve this would be appreciated.
