Is there a way to get my facetime on my Mac to automatically answer instead of having to be at the Mac to accept the call?
I am trying to use my facetime on my Iphone5 to call home to check on my Puppy ( kind of like a nanny cam )
Any clues on how to do this?

The tip, taken from the hint in the Macworld article worked. However when I upgraded to High Sierra (10.13) it doesn't work anymore. Is it a bug with High Sierra, or is there a new method to have Facetime automatically accept calls on OS X?

I have the same problem. Hoping for an explanation soon. I'm using facetime auto-answer as a dog cam in my house while I'm at work.
Sorry LilMama, Facetime does not support any such feature as you described. Facetime does require someone to manually answer any calls.
