I have a new iMac and wanted to know if the 10.8.2 is compatible with the Epson Workforce 4530 printer. It's specifications note that Mountain Lion is adequate, but I am not sure beyond 10.8.

Thanks

Joanne

I looked at the specs and it appears to be an older printer (since it supports the old 10.4.11) and mentioned that not all features may be supported by 10.8, so I don't know that it will work with any future updates for an indefinite period.

If it is a WP 4530 it is compatible with 10.8 (Mountain Lion), drivers are not included on current Maxs but will be downloaded during installation (I just installed the same printer)

I wonder what Epson is referring to with this (part of the specs):

6 Some applications and/or functions may not be supported under Mac OS X.

Yup, I saw that and suspected that the Fax function would be the one to go, but no, all functions (Scan, Fax, Print single side and double side work) so I have no idea. I have it connected via wireless but also tested USB.

I downloaded Epson14363.dmg from the Epson site as the Mac (a new 27" iMac) did not have it, the installer offered to get it but I already had the download, I used the download I had.
