iphone 4s
i plugged my 4s in to update and apperently it was coverted to ipod touch how do i get my phone back
iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.2
No idea what this means.
Please explain

Simply does not happen. An iPhone cannot be converted to an iPod. They can be used as an iPod only when in airplane mode.
Here is an idea. Stop trying to interprets the problem and simply tell us what the problem is. What if any error are displaying on the screen? Does it say no service or does it detect the carriers network?
Sorry diesel but apparently it does I now have 2 operating systems on my phone at the same time mine and my iPod touch2 with the exception of some stuff mainly mine my hot spot gone playing music is fun it plays whatever it wants for however long it wants when I text someone both iPod and phone send and receive I called apple and I'm supposed to send it in to them for diagnostics?

Try restoring. Don't update, restore. As long as you back up your phone before you restore, you won't lose any data.

This is what happens when the same Apple ID is used on multiple iDevices for iMessage. In other words, it is working EXACTLY as designed.
