rMBP, Chrome, Youtube: Video delays when in full screen

Sorry I don't have a solution, just wanted to say I'm also having this problem, it seems to be a very recent occurence, as I only noticed it happening a couple days ago. It could be a problem with Chrome as you seem to be suggesting, as full screen videos seem to work fine with Safari.

Had the exact same problem the past couple of days, was really frustrating as it was making videos play delayed in full screen and I tried searching for it everywhere but couldn't find any solutions.

Anyway, what I did has fixed it as a temporary workaround:

1. In Chrome, type chrome://plugins in the address bar

2. Click top right to expand +Details

3. Navigate to:

Adobe Flash Player (2 files) - Version: 11.6.602.171

Shockwave Flash 11.6 r602

You need to disable the first of the two entries...which I have highlighted in Bold above.

I had exact the same problem on my rMBP (Mac OS X 10.8.3) ... using Chrome Browser (Version 26.0.1410.43). I noticed that the higher the resolution of youtube videos (i.e. HD) the longer the white screen appeared (after maximizing the full screen) and the more choppy the video played. Safari does not show this behavior.

I fixed the problem as explained above (chrome://plugins/ ; expanding details) but I have disabled only the first shockwave entry. If both are disabled I could not play any youtube videos and youtube asked me to install the flash player. Therefore I activated the last shockwave entry.

Anyways, thanks for the solution. I was clueless before and thought this started after having installed GoPro Cineforum Studio. But it certainly relates to the Chrome browser.
