My iPhone is dead and lost. Is there anyway Apple or my Macbook Air can track it?

Hello!

My iPhone has been lost for ever two (2) weeks. I believe (99%) it is in my house, but I'm not sure.

My 'Find My iPhone' app says its "offline" because it is dead.

It is scyned with my Macbook Air. Is there anyway that I can power it up even when its dead? Or can Apple?

I really need it and I can't find it anywhere. Is the only way for me to physicly find it?

Much appreciation,

Emma

That's about the silliest thing I've heard. If the phone is dead how exactly do you expect Apple to be able to force it to power up?

If you believe the device is in your house, then I suggest you either accept it is gone or start search every square centimeter of your home.

I can understand why you would ask this. It is NOT the silliest thing I have ever heard. I thought the same thing. Considering Apple products usually shut off around 2% (atleast mine do). I figured this was a preset so that if it were to get lost /stolen Apple could override it and it have enough power for Apple or the user to track/find it. Maybe this is something Apple should invest in. It's not a bad idea.

diesel vdub, that is not the silliest thing i have ever heard in the least. and you were a bit rude. my boyfriend has a windows phone, and even when it is "dead" (at the point that it shuts off and says it is dead) his find my phone app will still ring it. The only way it doesnt is if there is not a spec of energy left in the battery, which is honestly quite rare. Which was why i looked this question up, in order to see if apple offers the same kind of service.
