I don't know the basics of maintaining this Apple product. After 8 months of steady use of my iPad, it is getting slower and slower to start up. Can someone guide me to do some basic maintenance? Thank you.

Try restarting it by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.
