I have a 32G memory stick and when I try to copy a MPEG 4.88G to it it saysitem cannot be copied vecause it is too large for the volum's format.
Can anyone tel me what format I should put it in?

You memory stick is formatted as FAT32, that largest file you can copy is 4GB, if you are going to use this USB drive for your Mac only then reformat it to Mac OS Extended in disk utilities.

Thanks for your advice. I did reformat it to Mac OS Extended (journaled) but it still will not except the MPEG when in the past it has excepted even larger MPEGs plus it will except a number of MPEGs totaling far more than 6g of MPEGs all at once.
Strange
Use disk utilities to check/verify the disk and repair permissions.

You don't need to setup a RAID, if you selected the partition just click apply.
