MacBook Air not booting after liquid damage and smc reset

I spilled a bit of energy drink on my macbook air earlier today and it seemed to be working fine for a few hours, but after taking it out of my bag now it won't boot up. Strangely however the charging light works as normal, glowing orange and doing the steps for an SMC reset makes it flash green which
I assume means it was successful, but the computer still won't respond to the power button. Is there anything else I can do before taking it to apple?
