icloud not enough storage problems

hello all

i own an iphone 4s and an ipad 3 and a couple of months ago i purchased an extra 10gb of icloud storage in total now is 15gb

2 weeks ago when i tried to backup my iphone in the cloud i hgot the followingt message even though i still have some storage free i got "not enough storage"


the wierd thing is that with the same apple id i backedup my ipad 3 without any issues

any ideas on how can this be??

Welcome to the Apple Community.


You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage......


You have 3 options......


  1. Purchase more iCloud storage.
  2. Delete data or back ups that are being stored in iCloud already.
  3. Turn off items to be included in the next back up to reduce its size.

Sorry taht it took me so long to reply but had a few things to do so wasnt on my computer for a long time

As you cna see from the iphone screenshots on my first post and the ipad 3 screenshots here i still have available space on my icloud account which in total is 15Gb but i get the not enough storage on my iphone message (that massage only apeears on my iphone)

any help wil;l be much appreciated people!!!
