Feb 27, 2013 5:47 PM in response to SirMacintoshby PAHU,With regards to your post, do you mean that the printer is connected to the USB port of your router and you usually connect to the printer by using the HP Jetdirect-Socket protocol?
Or is the printer connected to the router via Ethernet or wireless and you cannot add the printer using the Socket protocol?
If the latter, then maybe the firmware update disabled the port on the Epson?
If you open a browser and type in the IP address of the Epson you should connect to the internal web server of the device. Via one of the menus you can look for RAW Port 9100 and check that it is enabled.

Mar 6, 2013 7:31 AM in response to PAHUby SirMacintosh,Hi Pahu,
The printer is Wirelessly connected via the router and on the Epson webpage port 9100 is Enabled.
Furthermore I have set a portforward for 9100 (tcp) to the iMac's ipaddress.
Installation via Bonjour went well.
Driver reinstall didn't help either......
Epson helpdesk didn't know the problem also.
