Exporting Audio to Movie, doesn;t export the audio

anyway, like 7.1.1 you need to have the track on track 1. have you checked this? also, it is set up now so that you need to set locators. the idea being that you don't have to export the whole mive, just the bit of it that your track pertains to. so try setting locators.

Not true!
I have exported whole sequences to movies on a G5 no problem, you don't have to have the audio on track 1, although on my new Macbook Pro this feature does not work!

For a simple work-around:

Just bounce the mix and import it back into final cut.

Finish your video editing, then export from fcp.

If you don't have fcp, I assume this idea will work with iMovie.

Indeed, thats what I do, but the time saving and simiplicity of the 'Export audio to movie..." function puts it at the top of the 'features that really should work' for us composers to picture!
Hopefully it will be fixed soon with an update.

It's not broken. To be sure I went and tried it myself
and it worked fine. I did not even have to set the
locators, which I thought I would have to. I just dropped
the movie on a project and went to the menu. It did bring
up some dialog box I had not seen before. Something about
adding the tracks to use. It only showed track 1 but since I
could not figure out how to add the tracks I just hit OK and
it rendered all of them. Hope you get yours back up.

I'm also hoping to get a little help with this topic. I tried to export audio onto a movie in LP 7.2.1 on a G5. I set the locators for the duration of the clip I needed and then Exported Audio to Movie. It asked for sample rate, bit rate, mono/stereo and then for a file name to save the movie as. All looked fine and it even appeared to export fine.

The resultant file in my target folder was the entire movie (58 mins and not the 1 min clip I'd exported, with the sound the correct duration but playing a full tone lower in pitch (usually the result of a 48k file played at 44k). The sample rate in LP was set to 44k as was my export option.

Can anyone explain why this might have happened ?
