I have opened several PDFs and now the rainbow ball is just spinning. I cant get the program active. I've tried control alt delete... but wonder if there is a better way to shut the applications down?
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
Press Command + Option + Escape and you should see a Force Quit window appear. Highlight the application you would like to Force Quit and then click on the Force Quit button.
I would
1 right click and chose force quit
Or
2 use activity monitor to kill it

Thanks for your reply. Right click didn't work. I'm not familiar with the Activity Monitor.

"Preview" is stuck I can't quit, how do I force it to quit??
