VLC. Which version?

Hi. I need to download and install VLC player. Mine is a late 2012 Imac with Intel core i5. On Videolan site there are different verisone of the software. VLC 32/64, VLC 32 and VLC 64. Which is the right one for my mac? And finelly, what is the VLC web plugin? Must I also download it?

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

In your case, both 32/64 and 64 versions will work, but I recommend the 64-bit version. The download is smaller and its performance may be better

Don't install it. Then, if you need it to watch something, install it, but now, you don't need its plugin
