How can you resolve issues between Mail in Mountain Lion and using FileMaker?

I have not previously had problems using FileMaker on my Mac, but since updating to Mountain Lion I haven't been able to use the Mail functions either directly or through scripts. This is becoming a major problem. Any ideas out there?
