Could compressed air get dust in the screen?

I never made the connection but after using compressed air in the vents of the macbook pro laptopp, but I noticed dust inside the screen. I have a gray dot of dust stuck inside the middle of the screen. Also some other dust dots. I wonder if they've always been there... had the mac for over 2 years. But I clean the screen often and only really started noticing them.

How does dust get into the mac's screen? Would compressed air in the vents push it into the screen? I didn't think that could happen when using it, I assumed the vents lead to inside the comp not inside the screen..

Ugh I just want to get rid of the dust.
