why is it prompting for password so often?
My iphone is continuously asking me for my password. I've reset it and restarted it several times, but it keeps coming up... It's really annoying... Anybody have any idea how to stop it?

Enter the correct password the next time the prompt appears.
I think I've managed to do that several hundred times... and I've reset my password in iTunes... and done a complete Restore, but it still asks.
Are you certain you are entering the correct password for the Apple ID that is prompting for a password?
The only time I've seen this occur is when there is content on the device from multiple Apple ID's and an App is attempting to update but that App is tied to an Apple ID other than the one signed into iTunes on the device.
Yes, I've only got one apple device and I've now reset my password again, and the restore didn't work. I've got no idea what to do now.
I said nothing about multiple devices, I said multiple Apple IDs.
Only have one ID.
Is it asking for your email password or Apple ID password?
Apple ID password
Did you ever resolve your issue? I have been having the same problem and I am tired of changing my password.
There is no way to stop the prompt. Those prompts are there for security reasons. If you do anything such as backup, download, restore, update, etc you will be prompted for the password. There is no specific reason behind it, you aren't entering the wrong password, it just wants to make sure you are who you are before doing anything with your device.
You just answered an 18 month old post.
However, the answer still applies as my phone began doing it after the 8.1 update today. It keeps prompting on everything I do even if its the same thing over and over again as if I'm entering the password wrong although I'm not.
