Quickest general solution to the "where's the x, y, z glyph on my keyboard" dilemma is to go to System Preferences / Language & Text / Input Sources, enable the Keyboard and Character Viewer option on the top of the list. Quit System Preferences and observe the menulet that popped up in the right of the menubar. In there you will find the Show Keyboard Viewer option, that pops up a floating window customized to your keyboard and showing what each key produces when pressed by itself or with the Shift and Alt/Option modifiers.
