After downloading update for kindle on ipad3, it's asking me to register, which I do but it is not recognised. Help please?

Seems as though its asking register for a actual kindle device than and app? Does that help clarify my problem?
This may be more of an observance and may not fix - yesterday, 2/27, there was a Kindle update on my iPad that said it was not advisable to install for IOS users so I waited for Amazon to fix it. When I checked back later in the afternoon, the update looked ready to install and said it would fix Registry problem and some bug issues. So if you updated Kindle before the update was corrected, maybe you could delete the Kindle App and reinstall it and that might fix your problem.
I turned the iPad off completely. It then allowed me to register my amazon account. Thanks very much.
