While updating my laptop i lost my internet connectivity. when i tried updating it again ,it shows network error. what i am supposed to do?

Delete and recreate your settings in the Network preference pane. If you're connecting to a wireless network, also delete the AirPort network password(s) in the Keychain Access application.
